Waxing is a method where we apply wax over the skin and a small cloth strip is pressed on the top and quickly ripped off to remove the unwanted hair in the skin. Waxing is the most popular method as it is inexpensive and convenient to do ourselves at home and the result is quick and lasts long.
There are different types of waxes and one of the major differences is hot wax and cold wax. Hot waxes have high melting point and are they are spread thinly over the skin and when they become hard; the striping is done for complete hair removal. Cold waxes are just pre-coated strips which can be directly used. We just need to press the strip and pull back. This type of waxing is commonly called, or known as, Persian waxing.
The skin type plays a major role and waxing must be done based on the skin type. Some skins are sensitive to hot waxing and may cause redness and irritations and some people suffer from discoloration due to continuous use of waxing. The wax must be chosen based on the skin sensitivity and pain toleration. Also, the hair strength, texture and rate of hair re-growth must be considered for choosing the right waxing method. Waxing is usually painful irrespective of what wax we choose. The best method to reduce the pain is to press hard on the skin with a soft sponge or with your fingers. When the pain has slightly reduced, rub the skin with a ice cube so that it would reduce any irritation or redness.

Waxing can be done by using either hot or cold wax. These can be safely used on healthy skin. Most parts of the body can be waxed using these. Waxing is inexpensive, quick and convenient. After using other methods like shaving or hair removing lotions hair will grow back within no time.
But waxing will leave your face hair-free for 3 to 5 weeks. The hair that grow back will be finer and also sparser.Cold wax strips can be easily used at home. But the disadvantage is that it can cause redness and irritation.Generally hot wax is used for waxing larger areas. Follow the instructions on the home waxing kit while heating the wax.
Test on the back of the hand for temperature, before applying on sensitive areas. Different skin types respond to waxing in different ways.People with dark complexion may develop more redness after facial waxing.Waxing is not recommended for people suffering from diabetes, varicose veins or circulation problems. Those on Retinol A treatment may be having weakened skin.
Peeling off the wax strip may tear off the skin in such cases.Waxing should not be done on areas with moles, warts, pimples, rashes etc. Also don’t wax when you are sunburnt. Skin invariably develops redness after waxing and this takes its own time to subside. You can use cold compresses or soothing lotions to relieve the discomfort.
Some skin types are very sensitive to wax. These skin types may develop redness and swelling. Some people also develop allergy to wax. It’s better to go to a professional the first time to learn how to use it effectively. Then you can do it yourself.

Waxing and especially leg waxing is something that can help you remove that unwanted hair from your legs. Out of all the body parts that many of us have our legs are the one part we seem to show off more than anything else and especially in the summer months. As warmer weather arrives we want to make sure our legs look the best and one way to do that is through leg waxing.
Certain methods for removing hair from our legs have been used through the years such as shaving, waxing, threading, tweezing, laser treatment just to name a few. Looking closer at these we find out that shaving is one of the ones that maybe done more than any, but it has many drawbacks such as a chance of getting cut and the time it takes sometimes makes it tough to do everyday.
Laser treatment is probably one of the hottest and newest way people are removing unwanted hair from their legs. Tweezing has been around a very long time, but pulling out hair by hair is not many people’s idea of fun that’s for sure. This brings us to Leg Waxing. This type of waxing is the best temporary way to remove unwanted hair from our legs. Various types of waxing are available. Some must be performed by a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician.
The different types of waxing that can be performed are:
Eyebrow waxing bikini, male genital, hollywood/brazilian waxing, leg waxing, underarm waxing, back waxing, foot waxing, chest waxing and entire body wax.
Most parts of the body can be waxed, but other parts, not listed above are not given special consideration. Areas individuals should never wax include inside the ears and nose as well as eyelashes, eyelids, the palms of the hands, and the soles of the feet. These areas are of particular concern due to sensitive skin that can be severely damaged if waxed. Areas of the body that should only be waxed by a licensed professional include the genitals and the nipples.

Waxing is one of the best method and the most popular method to remove unsightly facial hair. Waxing is preferred by most people because it is cheap and convenient. People use waxing commonly to remove unwanted hair from face, chin and upper lip.
Waxing may not suit everyone particularly if you have a sensitive skin. Such people might get small red spots and the skin becomes red after a few minutes of waxing. It is possible for the dark skinned women to get some discoloration in their face.
The Wax Type we use also play a major role in side effects and it is always best to try waxing a small area in the beginning. Waxing actually depends on the skin and hair type. Waxing would be risky if the hair growth has just begun. The idea is to find out what works for your skin and hair type.
Also, it is best to do waxing in a beauty salon to get a better idea of how to wax and what type of wax should be chosen for your skin type. The wax generally has to have a special formula to remove excess facial hair. The wax should not be too hot and you need to carefully spread the wax smooth and evenly in the skin.
After waxing, pull the strip as closely to the skin to remove the hair completely. Finally apply a soothing lotion to your face which can reduce any redness. Incase of upper lip waxing, you must be extremely careful as it is a sensitive area. Hair on the upper lip generally grows downwards. Hence apply the wax in a small strip from nose to mouth. It is best to use gentle exfoliating product on the upper lip after waxing to prevent hair to grow faster.

No matter how you look at them they are smooth

The answer to this question really depends on what you intend to do, waxing yourself or waxing as a job. If you intend to offer waxing services to clients you should definately consider offering more than one choice of wax for clients. If this is for yourself then you should get advice from those qualified.
Actually you will find that traditional wax is made up of different fats, oils and other manufactured chemicals which will typically suffice for most waxing customers. However, a customer with very sensitive skin, and will usually know they have, should be waxed with only an organic wax to prevent any possible irritation and/or bacterial infection.
You will find that following a wax, the hair follicles are exposed and become open to invasion by bacteria and the development of infection. The open follicle can result in bleeding and irritation as well as damage to the surrounding tissue. Organic wax uses natural oils free of chemicals and other possible irritants thereby minimizing the likelihood of such irritations.
An additional consideration should be the effectiveness of the wax. Clients with coarse or dense hair may require a more powerful wax. This may affect the type of wax used. The client’s hair type coupled with the skin type should be considered prior to deciding the most appropriate and effective type of wax to use for each individual client.
It would likely be the best option for salons to offer clients both a traditional wax, which is more cost conscious, but also organic wax for those clients who have sensitive skin. The client will likely be impressed by the option, but also by the estetician’s knowledge about the impact wax has on different types of skin types.
