Do Skin Types Play A Major Role With Waxing?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Waxing is a method where we apply wax over the skin and a small cloth strip is pressed on the top and quickly ripped off to remove the unwanted hair in the skin. Waxing is the most popular method as it is inexpensive and convenient to do ourselves at home and the result is quick and lasts long.

There are different types of waxes and one of the major differences is hot wax and cold wax. Hot waxes have high melting point and are they are spread thinly over the skin and when they become hard; the striping is done for complete hair removal. Cold waxes are just pre-coated strips which can be directly used. We just need to press the strip and pull back. This type of waxing is commonly called, or known as, Persian waxing.

The skin type plays a major role and waxing must be done based on the skin type. Some skins are sensitive to hot waxing and may cause redness and irritations and some people suffer from discoloration due to continuous use of waxing. The wax must be chosen based on the skin sensitivity and pain toleration. Also, the hair strength, texture and rate of hair re-growth must be considered for choosing the right waxing method. Waxing is usually painful irrespective of what wax we choose. The best method to reduce the pain is to press hard on the skin with a soft sponge or with your fingers. When the pain has slightly reduced, rub the skin with a ice cube so that it would reduce any irritation or redness.

Waxes For Facial and Upper Lip Waxing?

Monday, August 10th, 2009

If you are from an ethnic background in which the women are cursed with light skin and lots of dark hair for serious hair removal, especially that of the face, it becomes a daunting and often times very frustrating task. Waxing provides a cheap and effective method of achieving a clean, hairless face, however it is important to ensure that you use the proper type.

If you chose to wax at home than you should make sure you purchase a waxing kit that is specifically designed for the face. Often these kits come with strips that are the ideal size for the removal of facial hair. Keep in mind that some skin types also may have a reaction to waxing and therefore you should always text a small area to ensure that your skin can handle the wax.

There are also kits on the market that are specifically tailored to people with dry and/or sensitive skin, some can be found in the Health Directory that often provide a lotion or oil to be used for after-care. For those who are new to waxing it is often far easier and less stressful to use ready-to-use wax strips. These are heated simply by rubbing the strips together, so there is no risk of burns from placing overheated wax onto your face.

As well make sure you decide to wax a few days before an important event of function as it may sometimes take a day or two for the redness and bumps to go away. Its important to remember to always take care while waxing your face unless you do not mind wearing a paper bag over your head.

Is Waxing Best?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

If life was fair then we all would have a pair of sexy legs or at least the opportunity to have them. It is just a simple fact, “smooth to the touch legs are much, much more pleasing than rough bristly ones”

Summer or winter a pair of smooth legs will be in style all year round no matter where you live. Further advantages of smooth legs comes from them being regularly exfoliated. The much preferred choice, a moisturizing shaving gel, instead of harsh soaps or water will help minimize any skin irritation with the added benefit of being able to soothe dryness. It also gently exfoliates while you wax for soft, smooth to the touch, skin.

Is wax treatment done differently in the summer?.

You may find yourself more conscious of how your legs look in the summer than the winter and find treating them more often because we know our smooth legs are always a hit.

Why wax?

You may wax because simply smooth, waxed legs are evidently so easy to keep clean. Using razors with creams or dry can leave your legs scared or cut or even with a rash you do not want. This could be worse than having hairs on them. So smooth legs are much better after they are waxed correctly.

Smooth legs from waxing are probably the best way to get soft legs and not necessarily the longest way either. Like it or not we know smooth legs rock and make us feel great just knowing if they get touched they are as smooth as a baby’s b..!

It is easy to understand that your legs are sexy when newly waxed but leg gashes from shaving are not. Waxing is so simple, but be careful of any skin problems you may have prior to waxing especially sensitive areas. If the whole procedure is done with care you will find it to be enjoyable, perfectly safe and veritably effective, but you will have to put up with cleaning up after wards.

Waxing, waxing oh waxing. It is a process by which the warm wax is applied to the skin, then quickly rived off with the expectation of removing the unwanted hair with it pulled out by the very roots. Waxing may not sound entirely a pleasant procedure, (it has been known to make some people scream out loud), but you can certainly say it is exhaustively effective if nothing else. Waxing just plain works.
